We have a lot of stuff going on! Nate finally finished his residency in Emergency Medicine in June, after SEVEN YEARS in Albany, NY (four years of med school and three years of residency). Then we had a great sailboat cruise in Maine, a nice visit with Mela's dad in Connecticut, and we've moved back to the Seattle area. Connor finally got to meet his great grand parents Don and Lloyd, cousins Charlotte and Ryan, aunt Kara, uncles Matt and Chris, and grandpa Mike. We spent the 4th of July with grandpa and grandma Dick and Cathy and Connor got to meet uncle John, aunt Michelle and cousin Patrick! Whew!
We're looking forward to finding a new home and Nate is looking forward to starting work at St. Claire. So big changes for us. It's nice to be back around family and the Pacific Northwest is stunningly beautiful.
For our first weekend back, Mela stayed in Seattle with Kara to take care of the kids while Nate flew off for a quick weekend in Mesa, Colorado for his first cousin Munro's wedding. It was a beautiful timeless Colorado wedding on Munro's dad's ranch. It was awesome. The ceremony overlooked the Colorado countryside, Munro's bride Youna was beautiful, and at the reception we at barbeque and danced to a bluegrass band.
